David Herod – Primate Welfare Team

Prior to working with Wild Futures, David was a sports coach for Greater Manchester Council, working with people with disabilities within local communities. He has worked at Wild Futures’ Monkey Sanctuary since 1993, when he joined the team as a member of the Primate Welfare Team. David is responsible for the day-to-day care of the monkeys, with particular experience with the new-world residents. He is also a member of the Sustainability and Grounds & Gardens team, and takes responsibility for all recycling at the Monkey Sanctuary.

In addtion to primate conservation, David is also a keen and talented musician.
