Wild Futures must be congratulated for what it has achieved in providing for the welfare of primates taken into its care. Gemma Lawrence – Retail Manager
Gemma Lawrence joined Wild Futures in 2005 after previously volunteering for the organization for six years in numerous capacities. Gemma graduated from Kingston University in 2005 with a BA (Hons) first class degree in Literature and joined Wild Futures as a member of the Primate Welfare Team, Shop manager and Personnel Administrator. Since joining Wild Futures, Gemma has become an experienced primate keeper working with all species at the Monkey Sanctuary, launched two on-line shops for the organisation, instigated an ethical purchasing policy for Wild Futures’ shop goods and worked in the personnel team as sole administrator also dealing with all HR matters and the staffing of Wild Futures. Prior to working with Wild Futures, Gemma volunteered for other rescue centres in the UK, worked in various retail outlets and was also employed as an activity instructor on children’s camps.
