Wild Futures’ and Dickies team up for the monkeys!

Wild Futures’ team were delighted when Dickies once again made a large donation of protective overalls and Wellington boots to their Cornish project, The Monkey Sanctuary. Dickies have made similar generous donations in the past.

Much of the charity’s funding goes towards caring for monkeys rescued from conditions of abuse and neglect and carrying out vital campaigns and education work, so support of this kind from big companies is much appreciated and really does make a big difference to Wild Futures’ work.

The Sanctuary’s team of dedicated volunteers were particularly pleased when the donation arrived. Along with the keeper team, they spend each morning sweeping, scrubbing and cleaning the monkey enclosures, inside and out, in order to maintain a high level of cleanliness for the primate residents.

Wild Futures Volunteer Coordinator, Hayley Oliver, said “It’s great to know that all our wonderful volunteers are suitably clothed for the work they are doing and to see them looking so smart with our charity’s logo. From cleaning out the monkeys to digging in the compost, the overalls will come in very handy! They also look great with our logo on the back and everyone is thrilled to finally have overalls and boots that fit well, due to the new array of sizes! A big thank you to Dickies for their ongoing support.”
