Together with Wild Futures we help to train the conservationists of the future in the techniques of research, husbandry and environmental education, both at home and overseas

Patrick Saunders – Grounds and Gardens (The Monkey Sanctuary)
Works part-time for Wild Futures as Grounds and Gardens Manager and has a keen interest in protecting UK Biodiversity and promoting low-impact living at the sanctuary. Began as a volunteer in 1991, member of the Primate Welfare Team between 1992-1998, volunteer National Trust (Cotehele Cornwall) 1998-9, volunteer RSPB (E.Devon) 1999. 2000-present day various self-employed gardening works. Tutor and NVQ asessor 2000-6 for special needs environmental groups Duchy College Cornwall 2000-6. Family learning tutor – various short environmental courses. Ecological consultant specialising in insects (particularly bees and wasps). Employed on surveys for National Trust, Butterfly Conservation, Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (NERC), Aculeate Conservation Group (Natural England) and Hymettus. Keen naturalist and county recorder of bumblebees, involved in Cornwall Butterfly Conservation group, Caradon Field and Natural History Group and the Cornwall Federation of Biological Recorders (CISFBR).
