Kodak was captured in the wild in French Guyana as a tiny baby and shipped over to Greece to be sold into the pet trade, where he lived alone in a small cage at the back of a photography shop for 6 years. Luckily, his owner realised this was no life for him and that he would be happier living with other monkeys, which eventually led to his arrival at our Sanctuary. Although there has been sadness and disruption in Kodak’s early years, he now has a stable home for life with us and he is a happy, content monkey. He is a very big and strong capuchin when he first arrived his boisterous antics were too much for the other monkeys, but over time he has learnt how to behave and formed a very strong and special relationship with Joey.
Adopting Kodak means that you are helping to provide the resources needed to give Kodak the best life possible. Your adoption also enables Wild Futures to continue its vital work campaigning for an end to the primate pet trade in the UK and abroad.
