Adoption Scheme and Online Orders Terms and Conditions
Our adoptions are purely symbolic, which means you will NOT receive any real animals in the post! Monkeys are wild animals – not domesticated pets. However, your adoption directly helps us to continue our charity’s vital work protecting primates and habitats worldwide. Wild Futures is committed to ending the cruel primate pet trade. All adoptions and associated benefits, under charity law, are non-refundable once purchased. We will only accept the return and refund if the adoption pack is faulty or contains an error caused by Wild Futures. We regret that we cannot refund adoptions for any other reason.
When an email confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. We will then aim to process your order within 3 working days. Please check all folders in your account for any communication from us in the instance that you have not received any. Products may vary from their pictures. The images of the products on our website are for illustrative purposes only. We are a very small team in a very rural location, so your understanding and patience is always much appreciated!
If we are made aware that an adopter is under the age of 16, we will endeavour to keep communications to a minimum, however all annual adopters are sent a renewal prompt letter explaining how to renew and the associated costs – renewing is entirely optional. Please contact us for further information.
We do not sell or rent any of the information you provide (including your name and contact details) to third parties.
International adopters will be sent newsletters via email to save on costs and minimise our environmental impact, so please make sure you provide a valid a relevant email address at the time of purchase. If none is given, newsletters will be emailed to the payer where possible. E-newsletters are optional for all UK adoptions.
If you are purchasing an adoption as a couple or a family, please provide all associated names either during checkout or by emailing [email protected] If we do not have additional names, we will send the certificate and pack with the name the order was placed under.
We hope that all our rescued monkeys will have a long and rich life receiving the expert care they need. If you purchase an adoption and should, tragically, your adopted monkey pass away, we will automatically transfer your adoption to a fitting alternative monkey to adopt in their memory and let you know in writing.
We hope that you’ll be able to see your adopted monkey when you visit the Monkey Sanctuary, however we cannot guarantee this. Our monkeys have access to areas that are
both accessible and non-accessible to visitors of the sanctuary, so we cannot guarantee that you will be able to see your adopted monkey if you come to see them at the sanctuary.
We are committed to giving the monkeys we have rescued the most natural life possible, amongst company of their own kind in specie specific territories. We are also passionate about raising awareness and educating as many people as possible about the trauma of the UK pet trade, and, of course, sharing how wonderful each individual monkey is! In order to do this, as a small charity, it is vital that we raise as much awareness as we possibly can. A major element to our fundraising efforts is our adoption programme. Adopters become part of an extended family of supporters, who all play a large role in each individual monkey’s lives through visits, updates and photos. This does mean that each monkey has multiple adopters as we do not have a limit on how many people can adopt a certain monkey. We have found that, if we were to make the adoption scheme exclusive, we would severely limit our reach as educators, and restrict our fundraising income – all of which would have a negative impact on the monkeys in our care. This, of course, is something we want to avoid at all costs.

Payments are made via PayPal or Credit/Debit card (Stripe). All prices shown are in GBP.
We cannot take payments or orders over the phone.
Direct Debit payments for adoptions are only available to UK bank account holders and will continue until stopped by the account holder. If you are paying monthly by Direct Debit or historical Standing Order, the adoption agreement will automatically renew year on year unless stopped by the payer. We will send out your renewal pack as close to your renewal date as possible. Please keep us informed of any changes to your circumstances. If you do not want your adoption to continue, please notify your bank that you wish to cancel the Direct Debit and then inform us by emailing [email protected] Monthly adoptions cannot be cancelled in any other way. If you cancel the adoption before the first payment has been taken, Wild Futures reserves the right to have the pack returned to us. The discounted entry pass provided in adoption packs is only valid for use with an associated, active adoption.
Adoptions paid for as a “one-off”, yearly payment do not automatically renew and are non-refundable.

Processing and delivery
All orders are sent via Royal Mail. Tracking is not available on any order. We cannot offer any guaranteed or special delivery options.
We cannot hold orders for delivery on a specific date. All adoptions placed will be processed and sent within our processing time, regardless of adoption start dates specified.
We aim to process and send your order within 3 working days; however processing times can be longer during busy periods.
We would normally expect UK orders to arrive within 10 working days of dispatch (unless otherwise stated or there are uncontrollable circumstances).
International orders will take longer to arrive. Additional hold ups and/or VAT/import/customs/handling fees are payable by the customer and are not the responsibility of Wild Futures to pay. Each country has their own rules and costs, so unfortunately we’re unable to give you exact information regarding this and we highly recommend you research prior to purchasing.
Wild Futures reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of the adoption scheme and associated benefits at any time and without prior notice.
