How your fundraising will help
Wild Futures is working hard towards a day when all monkeys are free from the threat of the pet trade, free from malnutrition, and mental, physical and emotional suffering.
It is estimated that there are currently 5,000 primates being kept by private individuals in the UK, many of whom are living a life of neglect in unsuitable conditions. Unfortunately almost all of the monkeys rescued by Wild Futures suffer from severe physical or psychological problems, stemming from the conditions in which they have been kept as pets. There is a growing need for funds to help rescue more monkeys, but at the same time to campaign to end primates as pets and also to support projects in the wild.

This challenge runs over just one day, but with five peaks to tackle it’s certainly no walk in the park! Prepare for an exhausting but energising journey through the rugged and dramatic landscape of the Lake District, as you venture across 14 miles (22km) and tackle five of England’s most demanding peaks, including its highest – Scafell Pike. The group will climb to over 3,000 feet (900m), crossing crags and moorland past the Langdale Pikes towards Scafell.
National Three Peaks Challenge: 3-5 June, 24-26 June, 8-10 July, 22-24 July, 29-31 July, 12-14 August, 9-11 September, 30 September – 2 October 2022
Brace yourself for a fast-paced and physically challenging adventure, as you take on the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales. Considered one of Britain’s toughest outdoor challenges, the National 3 Peaks Challenge takes in the dizzy heights of Ben Nevis (1,344m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1,085m).
Over the course of two days, you will trek around 26 miles and ascend to a total height of almost 3,000m. This is a serious and tough challenge which requires a good level of fitness, as well as plenty of grit and determination. Ultimately, however, your hard work will be rewarded with spectacular views and a huge sense of achievement.
